Women’s lifting group

PURPOSE

Women are increasingly recognizing the importance of weight training to their health but may have numerous reservations about getting started. This program, designed by strength coach Tina McInnes, serves to educate women on everything from the “why” to the “what” and “how” of lifting so that women can lift independently with confidence.

DESCRIPTION

In a small group (maximum 5), Tina will  teach and review the exercises in a strength program that participants can then complete on their own. Education will focus on things like exercise selection, feedback on form and technique, and how to self-select and progress weights. Note: this is not a personalized program and is not suitable for those with recent injuries, current pain, or significant physical limitations.

OVERVIEW

  • 2 hour in-person group coaching to review a basic 2-day strength program.
