WOMEN’S LIFTING GROUP

purpose

Women are increasingly recognizing the importance of weight training to their health but may have numerous reservations about getting started. This program, designed by strength coach Tina McInnes, serves to educate women on everything from the “why” to the “what” and “how” of lifting so that women can lift independently with confidence.

DESCRIPTION

In a small group format, Tina will introduce, teach and review the exercises in a strength program that participants can then complete on their own. Education will focus on things like exercise selection (and variations), form and technique (with feedback), weight selection and progression, and much more!

Each session will last 2 hours and participants will then complete the training independently, at their own convenience.

New programs will be presented each class so that participants learn new exercises that will allow them to make optimal progress in strength, avoid injuries and stay engaged with training.
